Is it permissible to listen to songs by people like Maher Zain and Zain Bikha etc who have songs without the musical instruments in the background but the singing is accompanied by humming and melodies formed by human voices/vocals in the background?

Shaykh, in some nasheed we notice that our beloved Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam is compared with the noor or light of Allah. Like “anta nurullahi fajran” or “nur muhammad sallallah”. My question is, is it permissible to say such things?

Can we listen to men singing (nasheed) without musical instruments?

Saying 'Ya Rasool Allah'

Saying Ya Rasool Allah as part of the salutation is permissible, but addressing him directly as if one is talking to him is prohibited.

Is it permissible to listen to naat (nasheeds) with music (words like SubhanAllah...)

ANSWER:

If the nasheed has no musical instruments and the meaning of the words are fine, this is permissible to listen to but not to overdo it as it would affect the heart.
