Can we pray Funeral prayer and make dua for a person who committed Suicide?


QUESTION:

Is funeral prayer allowed in Islam for the Muslim person who committed suicide? Some say that it is allowed but the ‘Imaam’ of the mosque should not lead the prayer while other says that it should be offered?What is correct opinion regarding this issue?


ANSWER:

It is allowed but the great Imam doesn’t offer it but rather his deputy.
